Dinky Donkey Now Out!

Not only is the Dinky Donkey Single out, so is the whole album! Yay! The long awaited prodigal Donkey returns!

10 YEARS in the making! The Dinky Donkey has finally arrived! Just in time for the 10th anniversary edition!

The Fifth Single Dinky Donkey is one of our favourite Glory Company live tracks of all time. It is a fun and joyful, catchy little ditty that you’ll be singing for weeks. Fun pop tune, complete with lots of hooks, and a fair bit of idiocy! 😀

The song sprang out of a moment on a Sunday morning with the kids, when they jokingly said, Let’s sing about dinky donkey, and Matthew rose to the challenge and immediately banged out a few chords and the initial melody. The song practically wrote itself and has been sung in many a Glory Party ever since.

Who else is worthy to bring the Son into his revelry moment of glory entering the Holy City!

The Fourth Single for the upcoming Dinky Donkey album is a lovely jaunt, reminiscent of the Beatles, exploring the dichotomy between the gruesome act of the crucifixion with the glorious exchange for the throne.

The song came to Matthew at 3am one night, the entire song in his head bar a few lyrics, and he had to wake and quietly hum enough of the tune into his iPhone to save it for figuring out the next morning. (See 3am Wake Up on the upcoming Dinky Donkey album, out just after Easter 2023.)

Fund Raising Update

Hello all you lovely Glory Dwellers!

We wanted to give you an update on the fund-raiser!

We’ve been quiet since the end of the fund-raise, preparing Dinky Donkey tracks to send to the professional engineers to mix the tracks so that we can release the album this Autumn. So far, so good! 2 tracks are mixed to completion, another nearly there, so only 7 to go!

We have also been getting through the fulfilment of merchandise that’s been ordered and scheduling one-to-one appointments, so if we haven’t got to yet, don’t worry. We’re nearly there.

We didn’t make the full fund-raising goal, but we have re-jigged the allocation of expense, so we have enough for Dinky Donkey, and we have a nice chunk towards The Sound of Heaven. We’ll follow up after the summer with a small £3K fund raise to get the remaining amount we need to complete that album, which we’ll begin recording as soon as Dinky Donkey is released.
