Jacob’s Ladder

Part 2 of 7-part Ian Clayton teaching from Glory Company’s Into the Mystic conference August 16-18 2012: Into the Mystic Pt 2: Jacob’s Ladder.

Ian teaches from the story of Jacob, in particular, Jacob’s Ladder from the Hebraic perspective, focusing in on the most important paradigm shift that the modern church could make to return to the ways of the early church, namely: we need to stop begging God to ‘come down here’, when there is a clear an open invitation for us to go up and spend time with Him in His realm. Praying from heaven down to earth is so much more effective…

Hebraic Foundations

Recorded at the Glory Company’s Ian Clayton Into the Mystic event, this August, this is the first part introduction from the first night of the conference. Into the Mystic: Hebraic Foundations

Before Ian gets into an excellent bible teaching on Jacob and the ladder between Heaven and Earth, he laid out a foundation, reminding us that God is a Hebrew God, and that the bible was written by men inspired by the Spirit with a Hebraic mindset.

This mindset is so different than the Western ‘Greek’ logical thinking mind. It is a mindset that wraps up feeling and emotions as equal to logic and intellect. It is a mindset that involves circular thinking and reasoning, rather than A to B logic. It is a mindset that sees both sides of something as equally important (good and evil, right and wrong), rather than empirically preferring one over another. And it is a mindset steeped with a rich oral tradition, full of questions, questions, questions… Any teaching that doesn’t leave you with more questions than answers is too simplistic in this mindset.

So enjoy this first podcast. More to come as soon as we can edit them…
