Settling for Stew Pt 1

Have you ever thought about how Esau trades his inheritance to Jacob for a bowl of stew? How could someone trade something so precious that their Father longs to give them for something so temporarily fulfilling. We were taught from the pulpit to think, how could he have been so silly, so carnal-minded, so brutish.

Yet, we the modern day church are doing this very thing.

There is such a rich inheritance Papa God wishes to give us, such riches that He’s laid up for us to receive, that so many of us are turning our backs on.

Many are happy to receive the salvation part of what Papa planned for us. And many streams have been waking up over the years to some of the more common miracles that are in the Bible, such as healing, words of knowledge, words of wisdom, deliverance, and so on.

But is that all that Papa had in store for us? This rich and generous God who wants to give us ‘more than we could ask or imagine’… That seems like an encouragement to us to dream for more.

Bible with Hinged Door-1

The Word is a doorway to any promise therein. The Bible tells us that He has set Jesus’ name above every other name (Phil 2:9), and that He has set His Word above even His name (Psalm 138:2). If He has made Himself accountable to the ‘Word’, then every verse is a promise, laden with possibility, that can be activated by faith.

What other exciting things have you seen in the Bible and thought, Wow, I’d love to do that? What fun stuff is there for the taking, awaiting the dreamers to access it…? Walking on water? Gold in the mouth of a fish? Making it not rain for 3 years? Purifying water? Defeating an army with a song?

I’d like to challenge you to dare to believe for the seemingly impossible, to take God at His word, to wrestle with Him and use His word to activate new faith in you for more and more wondrous supernatural activity in your life.

Don’t be satisfied with a single Sunday meal, when there is a forever feast, an eternal inheritance to receive! Rise up Sons of God!

Be encouraged. Be empowered. Be delivered.

  1. I thank you so much for having the “deeper spiritual desire” creating the “deeper insight in the Holy Spirit”. I am so glad for this “sameness” of the desire of the Fullness of God that is promised to us by the Lord – I mean: to find the same desire of experiencing and walking in this full promise, in you as it is also in me.
As a business person, having my “own” companies I face this challenge bigger than ever. It is today more vital than ever that we the people of this Godly desire “pool together” in prayer in worship in intercession. For stepping into this fullness by faith meets a challenge, even attacks I never even imagined. It is not a “one mans´s road or walt”, Let´s do it together.
But what I wanted to do right now is to thank you for your open sharing, and I praise the Lord for you. Committed to pray for you and your blessed ministry that is set for a great harvest
